Silvio Angori

Born in Castiglione del Lago, central Italy, on June 29 1961, Angori earned a Master’s Degree of Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business of University of Chicago, Illinois, and he also holds a Master’s Degree in Theoretical Physics from “La Sapienza” University in Rome, Italy. He is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers.


From 1989 to 1990 Angori was with Agusta Helicopters, a leading international aeronautical company, where he was Researcher in the field of aerodynamics.


From 1990 to 1994 Angori worked as Senior Researcher at Fiat Research Centre, a research arm of the global car maker Fiat Auto Co. He was acting in the field of engines and systems vehicle with various responsibilities which included management of State and European Community funded programs and product development teams.


In 1994 he started working at ArvinMeritor Inc., a leading automotive and commercial vehicle components and systems supplier. In ArvinMeritor he held management positions with growing responsibility. Most recently he served as General Manager of US supplier’s Commercial Vehicle Emissions business unit which he created aggregating different operative units in the world and establishing it as market global leader. In the previous years, Angori held a variety of management positions, from Research and Development Manager, to Business Development Director to Managing Director of global customers business units.


On January 2007 he was called at Pininfarina S.p.A. as Chief Operating Officer of Pininfarina S.p.A.. on August 12 2008 the Board of Directors coopted and appointed him to the Board of Pininfarina S.p.A.. In addition, the Board of Directors granted to him authority over all operating activities, including the implementation of the industrial plan and oversight over all Group companies with the exception of Pininfarina Extra.


On April 23 2009 the Board of Directors elected him Chief Executive Officer of Pininfarina S.p.A.
