    Turin, May 21, 2010 – Pininfarina celebrates an anniversary full of novelties. To celebrate 80 years of activity, today, at company headquarters in Cambiano (Turin), Chairman Paolo Pininfarina and CEO Silvio Pietro Angori will inaugurate the Pininfarina Collection, an exhibition of models that have made the brand’s history. In the presence of Cabinet Undersecretary Gianni Letta, Foreign Secretary Franco Frattini, the Chairman of the Turin Industrialists’ Union Gianfranco Carbonato, Ferrari Chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo and designer Chris Bangle, the Nido EV, a prototype electric car conceived, designed and built entirely by Pininfarina, will be unveiled for the first time, and a new book, “Pininfarina” by Decio Giulio Riccardo Carugati (Electa), will be launched.

    Turin, April 22, 2010 – The 2uettottanta, the open sports car created by Pininfarina to celebrate its 80th anniversary, is Alfa Romeo’s guest at the Concours D’Elégance Villa d’Este 2010, during the weekend of April 23 to 25.

  • Turin, February 3rd, 2010. They have been the icons of Torino 2006 Winter Olympic Games and they are both signed by Pininfarina. The Olympic Torch and a 1:50 scale model of the Cauldron raised outside the Olympic Stadium are exposed in the new Olympic Museum in Turin.

    Turin January 29th, 2010 – Pininfarina discloses the first official image of its new concept car, world debut on March 2nd at the Geneva Motor Show.

    The Pininfarina new concept is meant to be part of the tradition of successful spiders born from the relationship with Alfa Romeo, among the most significant and long-lasting ones in the automobile history, and interprets the innovative vision of an antique theme strongly present in the Pininfarina roots, the 2-seater spider.

    An iconic object that, binding with an ideal thread the past and the future of Pininfarina, starts the celebrations for its 80th anniversary, representing at the same time an homage to the Alfa Romeo 100th birthday.

  • For the fourth time Pininfarina receives the prestigious “Trophée du Design” assigned by the French magazine L’Automobile Magazine

    Turin December 10, 2009 - Pininfarina is the best designer of the year 2009. It has been established by the jury of the French magazine L’Automobile Magazine, that assigned the 2009 Trophée du Design to the Pininfarina Group for having confirmed its supremacy in the automotive design signing two among the most appreciated cars of this year, the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Maserati GranCabrio. On December 15th in Paris the award will be collected by the Chairman Paolo Pininfarina, accompanied by the CEO Silvio Angori and the Design Director Lowie Vermeersch.

  • Pininfarina B° guest of honour at Dream
  • The Pininfarina-Bolloré electric car in the spotlight for a whole weekend during the exhibition dedicated by TWDC to the car of the future

    Turin, December 2008. The Pininfarina B° is to be the undisputed queen of the Dream show for two whole days. On Saturday December 13 and Sunday December 14, the exhibition dedicated to dream cars and the concept cars of the 1950s will host the electric car concept which Pininfarina is developing in a joint venture with the French group Bolloré. This will be the first appearance in Italy of the project since its world debut in October at the Mondial de l’Automobile in Paris, where it elicited substantial interest industry and public, demonstrating how the car paves an innovative path in the right direction, years ahead of the competition.
